Fig & Bourbon Cocktail

Creating tasty cocktails and unique cocktails has become my new passion.

Merging flavors from my kitchen with those at the bar has my head spinning about all the possibilities. This fig and bourbon cocktail will have you reaching for your favorite jams to test out all of the different options, too.

This unique recipe combines my favorite spirit, bourbon, along with my freshly-made Fig Jam, lemons, and thyme from my garden. Cheers.


Fig And Bourbon Cocktail

Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of your favorite bourbon

  • 1 tablespoon Fig Jam

  • 1/2 ounce freshly-squeezed lemon juice

  • Round lemon slices

  • Sprigs of fresh thyme

  • Ice

  • Strainer

Directions:

  1. Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add in bourbon, Fig Jam and lemon juice.

  2. Shake well until jam has completely blended into the bourbon mixture. This may take more than a shake or two.

  3. Strain mixture to remove seeds into your favorite glass.

  4. Float lemon slice on top of the cocktail, top with sprig of thyme.
