When you combine the tart and oh so tangy flavor of a Texas grapefruit with the vanilla and oak flavor of Kentucky bourbon, you have big flavor that deserves its name.
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons fresh grapefruit juice
2 ounces Kentucky Bourbon
1/2 tablespoon simple syrup
2 basil leaves
Ice
DIRECTIONS
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, grapefruit juice, bourbon, simple syrup and basil leaves, shake to chilled
- Fill cocktail glass with ice, strain cocktail into glass, garnish with grapefruit wedge and cherry. Serve with Hot Cherry Spike Blue Cheese crackers for the perfect happy hour combination
