Bourbon Hot Toddy
Warm winter spices, honey and bourbon, it will cure what ales you.
Having my girls home for the holidays makes be so happy. They are both in college, busy with classes and studying. Knowing that at home they can slow down and recharge is what my goal for them. With the mild weather we are having we are able to enjoy our outdoor space, the fire pit, s’mores and a delicious hot toddy or cocoa. Catching up with them is such a delight.
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces bourbon
1 tablespoon honey
Boiling water
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 thinly sliced lemon round
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 thinly sliced orange round
1 cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
DIRECTIONS
Bring a kettle of water to a boil. Fill mug half way with boiling water, add in honey, orange and lemon juice and bourbon, stir to dissolve honey. Add in cinnamon stick, cloves. orange and lemon slice. Cheers.
