The Big Texas

Two Southern states come together for one tasty cocktail.

When you combine the tart and oh so tangy flavor of a Texas grapefruit with the vanilla and oak flavor of Kentucky bourbon, you have big flavor that deserves its name.

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons fresh grapefruit juice

2 ounces Kentucky Bourbon

1/2 tablespoon simple syrup

2 basil leaves

Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, grapefruit juice, bourbon, simple syrup and basil leaves, shake to chilled

  2. Fill cocktail glass with ice, strain cocktail into glass, garnish with grapefruit wedge and cherry.

    Serve with Hot Cherry Spike Blue Cheese crackers for the perfect happy hour combination

Yields: 1 cocktail

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a Boozy Cherries.
